No More Hiding Behind Eyelid Tape — A Clear, Natural Look Even Without Makeup
Pre-Treatment Concerns
My eyes were not particularly small, but my double-eyelid creases were quite narrow and tended to disappear when I opened my eyes. The two sides also looked slightly uneven. When applying makeup, I had to keep adjusting my eyeliner and eyelid tape, yet making the crease any wider would look unnatural. I did not want an exaggerated double eyelid. I simply wanted to open up my natural eye shape a little so that my eyes would look clearer and more expressive.
Treatment Experience
During the consultation, I repeatedly emphasized that I wanted to preserve my own features. The crease could not be too wide, and I did not want obvious signs of surgery. The doctor designed the overall adjustment according to the distance between my brows and eyes and the way my eyes opened. The focus was on creating smoother, more balanced curves and giving my eyes a brighter vertical opening. The new outline was already visible immediately after the procedure. Although there was mild swelling and redness, the width remained within the natural range I wanted.
Post-Op Recovery
During recovery, I avoided rubbing my eyes and staying up late, and I followed the aftercare instructions carefully. As the swelling gradually subsided, the creases became increasingly natural and well integrated. Both open and closed, my eyes looked much softer than they did immediately after the procedure. Now, even without eyelid tape, the eye contour is clear and my expression looks brighter. I also feel more comfortable taking photos without makeup. What I like most is that the change feels just right—I still look like myself, only a little more refined.
Note: The appropriate treatment plan, recovery time, and outcome vary by individual. A consultation with a qualified medical provider and personalized medical advice are essential.
